  • Abstract
In this paper, a building extraction method based on segmentation is proposed. The high-resolution satellite imagery and GIS data are used in our application. GIS data provides the prior knowledge of building to segmentation algorithm. The method consists of three steps: data preprocessing, objects segmentation using the fuzzy connectedness segmentation algorithm and results post-processing. Experimental results show the efficiency of the method but improvement is still needed
