Abstract :
The planar inverted-F antenna has been the subject of many different parametric studies to optimize the design. Also, many different researchers have studied the effects of ground plane size on the bandwidth and radiation patterns. This paper looks further at the results and attempts to explain why the bandwidth and radiation patterns change significantly with changes in ground plane structure.
