Abstract :
Boundary conditions for laminated composite panels reinforced with thin fibers are derived starting from the exact analytical model of an array of parallel conducting wires excited by a plane wave. Once evaluated the impedance sheet condition and the corresponding wave-transmission matrix valid for a single lamina, shielding performances of the whole panel are examined and compared with the results obtained considering each lamina as a homogeneous and anisotropic layer.
