Abstract
Ultrawideband radar measurements of targets obscured by foliage were performed on the Radar Comparison Program, an effort funded by Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) and administered by Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories. Program objectives included collecting ultrawideband synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) data for use in analysis of foliage penetration at ultrahigh frequencies (UHF), and performing experiments to quantify phenomena important to foliage penetration, such as attenuation and backscatter
