Abstract
The dependences of plasma density and plasma electron temperature on the value of discharge current was studied. The spatial distributions of probe floating potential and plasma potential were investigated. The anode and cathode potential drops are determined, and an explanation of the course of the arc discharge volt-ampere characteristic is proposed.
