  • Abstract
This paper proposes a system of criteria for the assessment of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of expressway construction projects in terms of social economy, social environment, natural environment, and etc, with the establishment of an assessment system based on the DFGF technique. The paper will allocate weights to the criteria through Fuzzy Analytic hierarchy process and calculate the gray assessment coefficient with Gray correlation analysis to obtain the gray assessment weights and the fuzzy weights matrix, before determine the degree of social impact of the expressway construction projects by using the Fuzzy comprehensive judgment. Finally, the paper will conduct an empirical study by choosing the Tanlei Expressway project as an example. The results of the empirical study awarded an assessment score of 80.193 for the social impact of Tanlei Expressway, the score lies between the categories of fairly strong and strong.
