Abstract :
The paper gives several practical recommendations on how to implement anti-windup compensators in a PID controller. The paper considers different problems related to direct process input measuring and possible controller error caused by anti-windup algorithm. The same problem arises when the process actuator contains general nonlinearity. The method with a free parameter of the anti-windup compensator is proposed.
