Abstract :
To establish a reasonable Bidimensional Empirical mode decomposition (BEMD) criterion for stopping the sifting process, the primary idea considering the stability of the position information was brought out. The special requirements for stopping the sifting process in bi-dimensional signal EMD course were analyzed. The BEMD criterion was constituted based on the diversification of the local surface characteristic pointspsila number and distribution. Experiments prove that this novel criterion has obvious advantages comparing with the current criterion.
