Abstract :
Cognitive Radio (CR) is a newly proposed intelligent wireless communication technology which can utilize wireless spectrum resource efficiently and improve communication system performance notably. In this paper, backgrounds, basic concepts and working principles of CR are introduced firstly. Then, based on above introduction research status of CR technology are expounded roundly and its applications and future development trends are discussed.
