Study of Neighborhood Relationship in China Urban Residential Community in the Age of Internet

Based on the investigation of the urban residential communities in Beijing and Xuzhou, this article analyses Internet´s influence on neighborhood relationship from three aspects: communication, participation and consciousness. Internet provides a wide selection for residents´ communication. Instead of being an obstacle, Internet has become a new method to promote neighborhood relationship. That means Internet could affect positively on the shaping of a new neighborhood relationship in China urban residential communities.
