Abstract :
Based on the structure of a vacuum circuit breaker (VCB), a mathematical model of the three-dimensional magnetic field of a three-phase VCB is established using the finite element method (FEM). Through the numerical simulation of the magnetic field in whole variation cycle of 3 phase current in the course of breaking, the effects of different phase displacements on the magnetic field are obtained. The mutual influence of the magnetic field between phase to phase is clearly reflected. Moreover, for solving the above problems, the corresponding magnetic field distributions with different magnetic shield devices are also obtained.
