Abstract
The concept of resistive mixing is applied to the distributed mixer, providing both wide bandwidth and low intermodulation distortion. A monolithic resistive distributed mixer with three sections has been realised. This first prototype achieved a conversion loss of 9.5 to 11 dB over a 2-18 GHz RF/LO bandwidth and a DC-500 MHz IF bandwidth.
