Abstract
Equivalent complex FIR (finite impulse response) lowpass filters with sampling rate reduction are described whereby the filter structure is matched to the instruction set of a special signal processor. These filters are suitable for application in FSK (frequency-shift keyed) modems, particularly in connection with the full-duplex two-wire technique without hybrids. Results are presented on the practical prototype of an FSK modem using the proposed approach
