Abstract
Using statistical optics method, we deduce and establish the theoretical formula of the smallest detectable temperature in the wavelength demodulation system based on a tunable fiber F-P filter. The simulation results show that the smallest detectable temperature is mostly influenced by the shot noise and thermal noise of the photo-detector when the light source with low intensity and mostly influenced by the light source noise when the light source with high intensity.
