Abstract :
In this paper, a theoretical platform for analysis of radar cross section of a finite stratified dielectric cylinder, representing a tree trunk, above a smooth distributed rough surface using reaction theorem is demonstrated. In this analysis, the second order interaction among targets is included in the modeling platform. An extensive set of Monte Carlo simulations have been utilized to calculate and validate the average scattered power against analytical formulation. We demonstrate that a 2D taper resistive sheet around the rough surface eliminates the edge diffraction due to the truncation of the surface.
