Abstract :
"Zero-approach" Teaching mode is an effective one for improvement of autonomy of students, esp. for students of second-level College. In the "zero-approach" teaching mode, the course has been set up, but the teacher does not have to teach as usual because there is no time allocated for formal classroom teaching. The role of the teacher is to assign learning materials for students, sometimes they arrange learning tempo, direct learning course, supply students with learning methods, monitor the whole learning process, and evaluate "zero-approach" teaching mode scientifically stage by stage. With the changeover of roles of teachers, teaching was regarded as full fulfillment of autonomy of students. The author had made a follow-up survey of "zero-approach" teaching mode about one and half year. And the author have tried her best to find advantages and disadvantages of the mode to reach teaching aims. From the analysis, the author tries to show the necessity of the application of "zero-approach" teaching mode in some courses in second-level college in China.
