Abstract :
Bodo language belongs to the Tibeto Burman family-a sub group of Sino Tibetan family of languages. This study deals with an acoustic representation of vowels and some typical Bodo words through homomorphic analysis of speech signal in the form of LPC (Linear Predictive Coding) model and formant frequency. The speech signals used here are vowels and a set of words in the form of CV (consonant-vowel) and VC (vowel-consonant) type. In our observation we measured the range of variation of the LPCC coefficients and formant frequencies for male and female speakers of Bodo language.
