Abstract
The value of patent right is always affected by multiple and complex factors at various degrees. Traditional appraisal methods usually only take few and simple factors into account, therefore it cannot objectively reflect the value. However, fuzzy clustering method considers the weights of various factors; thus it can overcome the disadvantages of traditional methods. This article attempts to introduce Maximum Spanning Tree Clustering Method (MSTCM), which is the most commonly used method of fuzzy clustering, to the appraisal of patent right. And set a will-be-transacted Invention Patent as an example to discuses the relevant issues.
