Abstract :
The design of a microprocessor-based digital sampler is presented. A digital sampler is an up-to-date approach for solving some of the problems encountered when attempting to reproduce the complex acoustic sounds found in the music industry. Issues presented include memory size, microprocessor facilities, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion, software support, sampling rates, Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) and storage facilities
