Abstract
Facing the different wireless access networks, this paper has proposed several novel interworking AAA architectures among the 3GPP, WiMax and hotspot wireless LANs. In these architectures, a new entity named standby 3GPP AAA server is defined to cope with the single point failure. Moreover, based on the proposed interworking AAA architectures, a hierarchy AAA scheme is proposed. As a result, the simulation results show that the performance of proposed scheme is better than the existed ones, and the total cost of the authentication process is reduce drastically.
