Abstract
The traditional color-based image retrieval method is usually based on color-histogram method. In this paper, a new image retrieval method based on Bounding Box in color space is presented. According to the distribution of the image pixel value in the color space, the similarity between the images can be calculated using the technology of bounding Box. Compared with the algorithms of histogram, this method has the advantages of strong ability of resisting noises, high precision, low storage requirement and easily programming feasibility in low dimension space and so on.
