Abstract :
RDF defines a frame model supporting semantic interoperability. Using the RDF, a calculation of semantic similarity between concepts in ontology is presented by the hierarchy of ontology concepts. To make the calculation of semantic similarity between concepts more similar to human´s subjective judgment, the similarity be measured by word form or semantic methods. Whether the word to be compared is a compound word or not can be determined by WordNet before calculating word semantic similarity. If the words to be compared contain a compound word, the compound word should be divided into word sequence and the stop words should be removed in the sequence. Then the key part set and the non-key part can be gained by syntax analysis. In the experiment, the algorithm gets the best result, which fits human´s judgment. This paper represents the steps which use semantic similarity in semantic search executing.
