Abstract :
Conformal open-ended waveguide arrays received great attention in the early seventies. Recently, dielectric loaded waveguide radiators have been again proposed to achieve high dety microwave packaging [1], [2]. The efficient design of highly integrated array solutions, however, require fast and accurate full-wave analysis algorithms. In this paper we present an efficient integral equation formulation for the analysis of phased arrays on a cylindrical surface using open-ended waveguide radiators. In addition to theory, measured results are also presented showing very good agreement with simiulated data.
