  • Abstract
    This paper proposes novel intelligent hybrid controllers for 3 phase control of induction motor drive fed by matrix converters. Main Contribution of this paper lies in the fact that the non linear characteristics of the induction motor are preserved i.e it does not rely on mathematical model of the process. A matrix converter is an ac-ac power converter topology that have been studied and implemented by researchers First, fuzzy logic controllers are applied to matrix converter fed induction motor and the performance characteristics was studied. Next, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Controllers (ANFIS) are adopted to overcome the disadvantages inherent in the fuzzy logic controllers. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based Fuzzy Logic Controllers are designed to fine tune the membership functions in fuzzy logic and optimize the results obtained in the former case. Finally, the comparative analysis of all the above mentioned techniques have been performed and discussed.
