Abstract
A simple matching (coupling) circuit is proposed to enhance the matching (coupling) between the Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) and Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) for millimeter-wave applications. The circuit consists of embedded metallic posts inside the SIW. The performance is numerically investigated by the full-wave solver. The simulated reflection coefficient and impedance bandwidth enhancement are -24 dB at 36.38 GHz and 11%, respectively.
