Abstract
Unifed CAD-oriented circuit model is developed for accurate representation of finite-ground coplanar waveguide (FGCPW) featuring series-connected inductive elements. It is accomplished by applying our newly developed de-embedding procedure, called "short-open calibration" (SOC), in a deterministic full-wave method of moments (MoM). This model consists of a quasi-lumped series inductor and a pair of parasitic shunt capacitors over a wide frequency range. Design curves and rules are generated to show the circuit behavior of two classes of inductive series-connected FGCPW elements. A novel uniplanar three-stage stop-band filter is effectively designed on the basis of its lumped-element network approach.
