Abstract
The paper reports on the enhancement of the photorefractive characteristics by doping Sn2P2S6 with tellurium (Te) and antimony (Sb). A two-wave mixing measurement is performed in the wavelength range from 633 nm to 1064 nm and compare the doped crystals to conventional pure Sn2P2S6. By Sb doping the two-wave mixing gain Gamma at 633 nm is relatively high ( Γ= 20 cm-1), but is surpressed for wavelengths larger than 780 nm. A self-pumped optical phase conjugation in a ring cavity is also studied.
