Abstract :
The next generation broadcasting Networks, the so-called NGB, is China´s next generation broadcasting network standard, which is going to serve as an alternative to Internet. This paper tries to bring aware of the standardization activities of NGB in China and thus presents this novel broadcast standard beyond Internet for the first time by describing the features of NGB and the architectures of NGB. By looking into both the standardization development and the technical specifications of NGB, this paper serves as both an introduction and an overview to the newest developments of this novel standard which could be potentially the next generation network standard. This paper is concluded with influences of NGB upon the network standards development.
