Abstract :
This paper introduces a new method for authentication and correction of images. The proposed scheme is based on the recently developed approximate authentication and correction of images mechanism (AACI) which uses standard cryptographic primitives and error-correcting codes as its building blocks. The proposed mechanism identifies the errors, corrects some of them and is able to tolerate a few nonmalicious errors. Security analysis of the proposed scheme is given and simulation results on sample images are presented.
