Abstract
One of the methods for eliminating the dimples of the multi point forming is called elastic cushion which uses a rubber or polyurethane pad between the punches and sheet blank. In this study, finite element simulation was performed to investigate the influence of using rubber pad on forming quality in multi point forming process. The results demonstrate that select pad thickness equal to sheet blank thickness which is more appropriate application as compared to other applications with rubber pads.
