Abstract
In this paper we propose an active broadband MMIC circuit simulating a negative capacitance. It is based on a Negative Impedance Converter (NIC). A prototype has been fabricated using 0.25 ¿m pHEMT technology. The measurement results are good. We propose the application of this circuit for the design of a tunable capacitance with a wide tuning range and for the design of a low-loss capacitance multiplier.
