Abstract :
Traffic noise has become a serious environmental problem to human life. The relationship between pavement type and vehicle noise is studied, and the noise-reduction mechanisms of low-noise asphalt pavement are discussed. By testing, we can know the relationship between noise and speed is basically appeared linear growth. The noise-reduction reasons of OGFC asphalt mixture mainly lie in the absorption-noise effect of porous asphalt mixture and the damping effect of flexible asphalt material. Aiming to the problem of excessive noise of cement concrete pavement, in order to reduce traffic noise to pollute city environment, the method is adopted to use low-noise asphalt overlay of OGFC to pave old cement concrete pavement.
