Abstract :
RNA structure prediction is one of the major topics in bioinformatics. Among the various RNA structures, Pseudoknots are the most typical. Several methods have been proposed for modeling RNA pseudoknotted secondary structure. In this paper some techniques for prediction of RNA pseudoknot structure have been reviewed. These include dynamic programming to locate structure with minimum energy, various grammars to identify pseudoknots based on rules and soft computing techniques to find pseudoknots with minimum complexity.
