Enhancing context-aware services in mobile environment

The growth of wireless communications and mobile technologies have paved way for defining new types of applications such as context aware applications to offer services based on context. Location identification is an essential component of location based services (LBS) which in turn used to enable context aware applications. Apart from location, the data related to mobility such as direction, road network and other supporting parameters may help to define better services. In this connection, a scenario where a traveler issuing a request for a resource (e.g. restaurant, Fuel station, ATM centre) during his/her journey, is processed using the caller´s location with other context parameters. This paper focuses on using lookup table mechanism with multithreading approach for suggesting resources to mobile users during mobility.
