Abstract
At present, city operations and development forms an important theme in research on city science. Many scholars study the city lifeline situation in different ways in order to evaluate the city´s ability for sustainable development and eventually guide the structural transformation of city´s economy and society in China. In our research, 11 different kinds of methods as to city operations and development are proposed and analyzed. In the end of this article, prospects and trends of research on city operations and development are discussed.
