Abstract :
ADEOS-II (Midori II) was successfully launched on December 14, 2002 by JAXA (formerly NASDA) by H-IIA (No. IV) and its mission was terminated on October 25, 2003. It carried five Earth observing sensors including Global Imager (GLI) and Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR) developed by JAXA. The observed data of GLI and AMSR was successfully processed to create the science products in EOC. During the Midori-II mission of about 9 months, approximately 13 Terra Bytes of mission data were acquired. Sensor calibration, algorithm validation and improvement of the processing software were continued even after Midori II´s demise. EOC started AMSR and GLI standard products distribution to the public from December 24, 2003 by reprocessing archived MIDORI II data with new processing software. Next version is planned on September 2004
