After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

This paper reveals the relation between ecotourism and ecological civilization as well as that between visitor environmental education and ecotourism, analyses the specific roles that visitor environmental education plays, points out the present questions and their harm in the existing visitor environmental education in ecotourism in mainland China. In order to make visitor environmental education in ecotourism really fit for its tasks, it´s necessary for the visitor education mechanism to be systematically constructed in such aspects as policy and law regulation, outlay guarantee, plan of content and forms, monitoring and incentive on visitor´s behavior, coaction between the multiple education subjects, social participation, and scientific research support as well.
