Abstract :
A services driven network evolution will ensure that rapid network expansion can be fueled with maximum revenues, at least cost, when driven by a successful services evolution and deployment strategy. This strategy is based on designing a network infrastructure best suited to deliver cost effective combinations of basic telephone service, advanced nodal services and intelligent network services. Cost effectiveness will be achieved through the selection and increased deployment of network elements that can simultaneously offer all three service sets with the intelligent network services set being provided over the open CS-1R multi-vendor protocol. The operating company must use tools and methodologies that would allow it to ensure the economic viability of each new modal and intelligent network service
