Flexible network access structure applicable to versatile terminal distribution patterns

This paper, first, presents a new circuit switching-oriented, high-speed, multiple-access passive bus interface, which is well suited to PBX (private branch exchange) applications where voice communications dominate. It then describes the impacts the new interface poses on the extension wiring system and proposes several schemes to cope with the problems of increasingly complex wiring arrangements and bottlenecks to achieving reliably and to expand its bare capabilities
