  • Abstract
    This paper presents a novel symmetrical split ring resonator (SSRR) defected ground structure (DGS) for bandpass filter (BPF) design. The equivalent circuit (EC) model of the SSRR was extracted and discussed in details. Based on the advantages of the SSRR, compact tri-band BPF was designed. The newly designed BPF showed a good agreement between the simulated and measured results.
