Abstract

The intelligent network (IN) management is one of the key technologies in the IN research. We introduce a method for the design and implementation of the service management point (SMP) in the IN service management system (SMS) based on an object oriented paradigm. After describing the SMP´s management requirements, we further discuss the SMP´s design principles, functional structure, definition of managed objects and the implementation schema.
