Abstract :
A new grating-based wavelength multiplexed optical microwave filter is presented. This uses novel wavelength mapping and symmetry concepts to synthesise highly efficient parallel delay processing with precise sampling time and weighting functions. A significant increase in number of taps realised with minimum interconnects, and the ability of generating arbitrary symmetric discrete impulse response is demonstrated.
