Abstract :
In this paper, an alternative method of adaptive beamforming is presented. Based on the despread respread technique, the performance of different blind adaptive array algorithms in an asynchronous CDMA wireless system is investigated. A new algorithm, the despread respread-Kalman predictor multitarget array (DR-KPMTA) algorithm, is developed and compared with the least squares-despread respread multitarget constant modulus array (LS-DRMTCMA) and block RLS-despread respread multitarget array (block RLS-DRMTA) algorithms. Computer simulations in AWGN and fading channels confirm that the proposed scheme has superior performance while exhibiting robustness to inaccuracies in parameter settings.
