Abstract :
In this paper we study by the analytical method of separation of variables a coaxial elliptical waveguide with fins or corrugations, from which many actual guiding structures can be recovered. Where an exact closed form is not available, a quasi-analytical one is developed, particularly for the TEM mode, when it exists. Higher order modes are also analyzed and compared with the results of a FEM code.
