Abstract :
In the paper, we investigate on the visible emission of highly doped Dy:YAG/YAG planar waveguides. The disposed set of unique samples has been prepared by the liquid phase epitaxy (LPE) method. The concentration-dependent absorption and emission spectra as well as fluorescence dynamics profiles have been recorded under direct and up-conversion excitation giving a starting point for further considerations focused on main fluorescence quenching mechanisms, as well as possible up-conversion pathways.
