Abstract :
In fields of mobile reception of satellite broadcasting services antennas with high efficiency are needed. Especially for automotive applications the space requirement for antenna mounting is contradictory to the needs for electrical performance. Beside constraints in size, an important challenge is also given for low-cost production and high reproducibility. In this paper an efficient antenna using a new design on base of low cost materials is presented. A new technique is investigated to build low cost antennas with similar performance in means of efficiency and radiation pattern compared to expensive low-loss materials.
