Abstract
Although ODR has almost been exclusively with reference to the private sector and business disputes in e-commerce, it can be useful in public sector and e-government arena. In this regard, governments have made some very preliminary attempts, so it is necessary for governments to further explore the potential for ODR as a public good rather than cordoning its use in the private sector. Many principles that have been developed in the private sector ODR context can be applied to the public sector process, but G2C ODR´ special features should also be considered.
