Abstract
This paper presents some techniques to increase mid-wave mid-infrared (MWIR) light emitting diode (LED) light emission in the 3-4.5 mum wavelength regions using the Inter-band cascade structure. MWIR LEDs show practical applications in infrared scene generation, infrared counter measures, spectroscopic chemical and biological monitoring, medical diagnostics, and gas sensors.
