Abstract :
Current wireless communication market has a demand for high performance and low cost 33deg base station antenna. In this paper the design topology of a low cost 33deg base station antenna is presented. The frequency band is 1710-2170 MHz. The single antenna element used in the antenna array is an aperture-coupled cross polarized patch antenna. The antenna array has a 3-column staggering structure with 30 elements in total. With a novel design of feeding network, a high performance and low cost 33deg base station antenna was successfully developed.
