Abstract
Modern machines and mechanisms are extremely varied and find wide application both in manufacture, and in life. All machines during the given term should strictly carry out certain functions. This is possible only in the event that their structure is correctly determined, and they are correctly designed. In the theory of machines and mechanisms, the basic tasks of automation of the process of designing of mechanisms are realization of the structural analysis and synthesis of mechanisms, realization of kinematic and power analysis and others. In the paper the following topics are described: development tasks of such systems; the system requirements; the review of existing machine-building information systems, difference of developed system from existing machine-building systems, attributes of construction, and functionalities.
